documentary final

I suppose this what's important to me about these pieces is aside from the fact that I'm a die-hard Anime and Manga fan and also that I'm very much an artists, but it's the fact that not only did I take the pictures for this event I have to hand in the entire event coming together. I'm part of the club here on campus we get together to watch Anime, read manga and every year we make a special trip to the R.P.I annual Anime sci-fi and gaming convention in Troy New York. After a few years of this, we got to thinking we should have a convention of our own. So we worked long and hard for two years trying to get this con together, and a lot of work went into it. We had to get the word out there that we were having it having a convention we have to make booklets articles, Web notices, posters then we had to plan events of people of like and what they wouldn't. We would meet twice a week to discuss this and any and these photos show all the hard work that paid off. This documentary piece it really shows that A-lot-a-con was a success.

Artists statement

What I like to express in my pictures I guess a feeling of depth, like there's more to some events than there are and what one usually sees. There is always something going on behind the scenes, even if you never see it it's there. There are some nature or emotional driven events that happen every day in our lives and a lot of us and take us seem to take for granted. It could be something relatively simple, could be something really complex but whatever the reason something is driven by something else. Passionand, excitement, happiness, sadness, loss all these emotions drive some offender lives and that is what I wish to capture in my photography. The feeling that I captured this brief amount of emotion this secrecy like my documentary piece my mother and my hair looking over the jewelry and remembering their teenage years their childhoods that the motion was really amazing for me.

Portet

original

Edit

I changed the color balance taking out some of the warmth. Then I shaped the contrast of the photo. And reaped some of the backgound.

What about the series, I like that she's reused using the reflection and color of the objects to portray new images. I like that the objects reflect what's around them they distort and discolor the scene around them with their own shape and reflection.

Russ RowlandTanya & Kitty, New York, NY

The lighting in this photograph is natural outdoor light with a slight overcast sky that's softening the lights from the sun. The main focus, herself along with her cat, are surrounded by nature.  The surrounding trees and bushes as well but all color really help to frame and define her personality. In her pose seems content but seems to be wondering, maybe a little mischievous while holding her cat. The most important part of the photo is that she has her cat with her. It shows that her cat is an important part life.

Gritty/ Gloomy

 Edited: Gloomy

Gritty: edit

For the gloomy one I darken up the skies abet the brain of the trailer little bit more. I believe she instogram technique I used was instant print. The only thing I use on my gritty piece was cold press, or cold color.

What I about this photo is how the relationship my mother and Aunt(her younger sisters).
In this photo, they are looking thru there old jewelry they had collected as young teens. As they look thru them they recall all the event's in there lives, their first date, prom and science fairs. In this photo, it really shows their relationship.

Photo by Robert Capa of Matisse painting

What I like about this picture, aside from the fact that pictures the artist Matisse painting. I really like the tones of the composition, the picture has asked her how the composition of when darts are set up in the room and how there is so much light. But if he himself is really just after he was a painter always tediously painting and drawing out different ideas as you can see by the many Canvases he surrounds himself with. Things such as these it shows just how meticulous the artist worked, but as you can see from many newspapers on the floor he was also very careful not to make a mess of his studio.

I used the ISO 100 to 200 settings on the camera. I mostly shot a lot of these pictures in the landscape settings on my camera. Now I got them though as I waited for the right moment like at sunset or I walk into it like I did on the one with the mountains. I was a lot more than 40 pictures of landscapes that have a whole bunch of doctors with my basic point and shoot the ticker symbol things I really wanted to improve its course.

Aurora Borealis,Svalbard photo by Photograph by Max Edin,

Whats interesting about the photo is that the gradiant light blue to dark navy of the sky realy pull out the white, orange and light to drak purples of the gound. Also the mid ground is well pleacd in this secne, not to big but not to small. What realy make it nice thoue Are the nother lights with ther light green hue that really set the photo apart for me.

motion

This is my photo Be for I edited. I used long exposer to capture the ghost-like image of my hand.
For the editing part I cropped out the light on the outer edges and changed the tonal contrast for the hand to bring it out more. Than I adjusted the color slightly. This photo you see below is the end result.

Daria Dmitrieva of Russia performs with the hoop during the Rhythmic Gymnastics qualification on Day 13 of the London 2012 Olympic Games at Wembley Arena. Dmitrieva leads at the close of the first day of qualification.

I really like how the picture just captures her suspended in air. I believe used a shutter speed of 1.5 to get that. Naturally he used a tripod, and I believe that telescope lens to capture the movement. I do not know about the aperture, f 10 maybe? I think it's a beautiful piece, because it really shows off the beautiful physical form of the Acrobat.

I mostly just crop and angled some of the photo's at perspectives I thought would be interesting. Than I change the color balance and color temp in some of the photo's. For one other I simplely did in black and white.

Sky on fire.

the reason I am using this picture is because it shows my love of nature and also my love of color. I really like the gradations in the sky, the tonal changes, the vibrant colors you get sunset,or vibrant colors you get in the daytime. Most importantly I just love the colors togather, as I was taking this picture really great one color of the sky was really contrasting with the green blue of the sky behind it was very usual very beautiful color combinations. I think really so those amazing things are right  in for the bus we just never see it sometimes or appreciate it and that's what I tried to express my art.
