What I like about this picture, aside from the fact that
pictures the artist Matisse painting. I really like the tones of the
composition, the picture has asked her how the composition of when darts are
set up in the room and how there is so much light. But if he himself is really
just after he was a painter always tediously painting and drawing out different
ideas as you can see by the many Canvases he surrounds himself with. Things such
as these it shows just how meticulous the artist worked, but as you can see
from many newspapers on the floor he was also very careful not to make a mess
of his studio.
The light is beautiful, the details of his studio are very well shown, and the manner in which he frames Matisse and the drawing he's working on in separate sides of the picture accentuate the length of his stick and give the photo a bit of humor.
